Design experiences over the past 10 years have gone from creating my own company — Foot Canvas, working with clients — Fuzz Productions, managing at a startup — Selfie, designing at a Fortune 1000 company — Echo Global Logistics to a company that has 50+ million users at Venmo.
I have learned from not only a design standpoint but my EQ has vastly increased when it comes to business needs and managing teams.
I believe design is more than pixels on a screen. Being a UX designer means being empathetic to ourselves, co-workers and the end user of any product. Understanding the product in its infant and its high scaling stages. For myself being a UX designer encompasses all my past experience, leadership, and technical skill sets.
